The item of clothing I basically live in 99.9% of the time and they are a key piece in any autumn/winter capsule wardrobe.
Finding your own personal style and preference can be a total minefield. I am here to help .....

My favourite style of jeans is still the skinny, it's a style that goes with everything and suits most body shapes. My favourite skinny jean hands down has to be Topshop's Jamie Jeans - I love them!! Affordable, they keep their shape and have a high waist that keeps everything tucked in!
If you are not a fan of high waisted jeans, then the fabulous news is that Topshop have a new mid rise waisted skinny jean called, Sydney. Based on the Leigh jean, but made of a more thicker denim. I am definitely going to try them as I have always liked the fit of Leigh style (the mid rise is perfect for half tucking shirts and t-shirts) but never liked the thin material they were made of.
If my budget was endless I would like to try Acne 5 skin skinny jeans.

In the winter I like grey, washed black and black jeans .... which all work perfectly with a monochrome and neutral colour palette. For a really cool edge you can throw some coated jeans in there too!

I don't suit a straight leg jean unless I show a bit of ankle and then a straight cut looks far flattering on me and cropped jeans are really on trend, be it rolled up with heels for a casual evening look, or a slim straight cut with either trainers, a pointed kitten heel or ballet flats and they also look totally cool with a tall black ankle boot. My favourite slim cropped style are MIH's Paris, but I would really like to try the very on trend kick flared cropped style and the J Brand Selena are top of my wish list.

Then of course if you can carry it off a relaxed lived in boyfriend jean.
Which always looks good in all seasons, but in A/W they look especially good with a pea coat and heeled boots and totally amazing with a sweater such as a Bella Freud and a stunning pair of heels for a casual evening look.

It's this style of jean I have always personally struggled with, love the look, absolutely LOVE it, but they don't suit me. Not one to give up, I am very tempted to try both from H&M I have featured above, these and these, as they look a slimmer fit of relaxed 'lived in" jeans and possibly be more suited to my frame.
Jeans ..... not my favourite thing to shop for, but an absolute must have!
I hope this helps you with your quest to finding your favourite pair of jeans.
